Private Client Security Reviews
We start with you, not your property.
Every Fortis security review begins by understanding the client. Your profile. Your family. Your lifestyle. Your assets. Your routines. Your people. Your exposure. We build an intelligence-led picture of the risks surrounding you before assessing your residence, estate and security systems.
Security Advisory for Private Clients
Fortis provides discreet security reviews and private-client risk advisory services for individuals, families and organisations where privacy, reputation, valuable assets and personal security require a more considered approach.
Our clients may have significant public, professional or commercial profiles. Others simply own substantial homes, estates, collections or assets and want an independent understanding of whether their current security arrangements are appropriate.
We work quietly, professionally and around the requirements of the client, household and their trusted advisors.
High-Net-Worth Individuals
Independent security advice for individuals whose property, assets, business interests, lifestyle or profile may create additional security considerations.
Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals & Families
More complex security reviews for principals and families where multiple residences, significant assets and wider lifestyle considerations create a broader risk environment.
Family Offices
Independent security advisory support for family offices responsible for protecting principals, family members, residences, assets and reputation. Fortis can act as an external security advisor.
Private Estates & Significant Residences
Security reviews for country estates, high-value homes, London residences and second homes. Assessments consider the property alongside the people and technology surrounding it.
Executives, Entrepreneurs & Public-Facing Individuals
Security and personal-risk assessments for individuals whose professional position, wealth or public profile may increase their exposure.
Professional Advisors
Fortis works alongside lawyers, wealth managers, and estate managers. We understand that discretion and professional boundaries are particularly important when working within an advisory network.
From Private Residences to Complex Estates
No two private clients have the same security requirements. A city residence requires a different approach from a staffed country estate. Fortis assesses the complete environment rather than a standard checklist.

Private Residences
High-value houses requiring independent assessment of physical and operational security.

Country Estates
Larger properties involving grounds, buildings, access routes and complex security infrastructure.

Multiple Residences
Security considerations across multiple properties used by the family.

Staffed Households
Assessment of the relationship between access, technology and physical security within staffed households.

High-Value Collections
Security considerations surrounding art, jewellery and other irreplaceable assets.

Family & Lifestyle Security
Assessment extending to routines, travel and factors relevant to the wider security.
A Bespoke Methodology for Personal Protection
For private clients, security cannot be separated from lifestyle. The strongest arrangement is one that reflects actual risk while allowing the household to operate naturally.
Recommendations are proportionate to the risk and sensitive to architecture, privacy, lifestyle and practical realities. The objective is not to turn a home into a fortress, but to address vulnerabilities intelligently.
Discretion is built into the way we work.
Every instruction is handled sensitively and on a need-to-know basis. Site visits are discreet, information is carefully controlled and reports are shared only with authorized individuals.
The Right Level of Review
We first understand the client. We then understand the threat. Only then do we assess the security surrounding them.
We understand the client before we assess the property.
The Fortis Four-Layer Method
Our security reviews follow four stages. We first understand the client, then establish the relevant threat environment, assess the property against those risks, and finally provide a clear security strategy and action plan.
01
01 Client Risk Profile
We start with the person, not the property. We consider the client’s profile, family, lifestyle, routines, travel, staff, assets, public exposure, digital footprint and any previous security concerns. This establishes who and what we are protecting.
02
02 Threat & Intelligence
We build a picture of the threats surrounding the client and property. This can include local crime, targeted crime, burglary, vehicle crime, location, access routes, publicly available information and other relevant intelligence. This establishes what risks genuinely apply to the client.
03
03 On-Site Assessment
We then assess the property against the risks identified. We review areas including perimeter security, gates, doors, windows, lighting, CCTV, alarms, access control, staff and contractor access, valuable assets, vehicles, smart-home technology and emergency arrangements. This identifies where genuine vulnerabilities exist.
04
04 Strategic Advisory
We turn the findings into a clear action plan. The client receives a professional report identifying key risks, vulnerabilities and prioritised recommendations. Recommendations should be proportionate to the client’s actual risk and divided into immediate, short-term and longer-term actions.
